"In 2005, the idea of getting more than 600 key operational employees trained and foundation certified on ITIL was a seemingly unreachable goal. Siemens IT Solutions and Services had set training budgets and employees stationed all across the country.
"Sending everyone to a traditional three-day ITIL training class was not feasible for our busy operational staff or our budget.
"To address our sizable training needs, we decided to build and administer our own in-house training program where employees would be able to learn ITIL and prepare for the ITIL Foundations Certification Exam at a reasonable pace and price.
"With the help of KEDAR Information Technologies (KEDARit), Siemens IT Solutions and Services developed an e-learning curriculum using KEDAR ITIL Self-Study Kits.
"We have just announced the 2007 schedule, which involves nine-10 week e-learning classes, which will train an additional 300 staff. As we extend our ITIL training program into this year, the KEDARit ITIL Self-Study Kit is a key component of our e-learning curriculum."
